Anti-Fur Campaign Poster

For this project, i was required to produce and anti fur campaign poster to influence people to wear fake fur or at the best not wear fur at all.

starting this project was easy enough, researching anti-fur campaigns, there previous posters, techniques they've used and everything to do with what they have used for influence. but i also researched the people who actually manufactured the fur, and sold it to the coat manufacturers, i did this because it showed a two sided debate and to show there is always two sides to it, weather you like fur or don't for whatever reasons.  

developing ideas was easy enough, preliminary sketches, ranging from photography and hand drawn ideas, then going to illustrator programs on the MAC's , so there was a certain amount of diversity when it came to techniques and methods of creating my out comes. 

when it came to getting my outcome complete, that was a little bit of a struggle, getting the correct angle, having the correct mirror, good quality image, right lighting, making sure the background was pitch black and then getting the correct text, and highlighting the more important words, the "shock" factor.

Magazine design

For this project i was required to create a front cover of a magazine called "Grafik magazine" and for the project title, well that was "what is graphic design" for starters did all of the required  research, previous designers for magazines, layouts crucial parts of a front cover, and previous "Grafik" magazine front covers from years before. 

ideas generation was simple, using all of the different techniques from morphological analysis, to random image and a new one i thought of, word association, and for the lateral ideas word disassociation. creating a final outcome for this was easy enough, using carbon paper and a normal piece of white paper, through a type writer, and because the typewriter was quite old it gave this rough, aged effect to the paper.

 all i had todo then was scan it though the computer and clean it up and ad the necessities from title which is the disorientated words of "grafik" and the barcode, date and price.

Manchester Logo Project

These logo's or images were my final outcomes for the first project in ideas and concept project of creating a symbols or logo for a city of our choice. for this project, i chose  to do manchester and explore what makes manchester, what manchester is known for and what people remember about manchester and stereotypical ideas and aspects of manchester. 


i discovered that people known manchester for the nightlife, then "booze"life, football, and the music culture. i found this very interesting seen a the four main things are quite...different and opposite, but in the end i created ideas for all of the four concepts and chose the outcomes for the music culture in the end. 


Everyone knows about the "hacienda" club in the, 80's ad the 90's because all of the famous bands and retro, nu-wave, and rock/punk bands from, happy mondays, joy division, the clash etc and this was a good idea to create a logo round because what ever you could use form the hacienda club style, it would be recognizable for the viewer of where the logo came from. obviously i decided to take the idea of the stripes in the original logo and put a simple twist on it, from the lines going from the centre of the base and top of the image out in diagonal sense, and use the color of white, black, and yellow also deriving from the original color theme of the hacienda.
